Rec Crew is the team responsible for running most of the behind-the-scenes involved at Summer Camp.

This is includes designing & running team games, running our cafe & merch, prepping for services, running the sound board, ProPresenter, praying for students, & more.

You could call the Rec Crew the PARTY STARTERS.

No, this is a volunteer position. However, if you are selected for Rec Crew, South Texas does cover the cost for meals, room, & board.

There are multiple options for serving on the Rec Crew.

Rec Crew Training Week | June 8-10 (3 days)

Session 1 | June 11-15 | Forest Glen | Youth Camp 1 (5 Days)

Session 2 | June 21-26 | Rio Grande Valley | Youth Camp 2 (6 Days)

Session 3 | June 28 - July 2 | Carolina Creek | Youth Camp 3 (5 Days)

Session 4 | July 16-20 | LoneHollow | Youth Camp 4 (5 Days)

Ideally, a Rec Crew member would serve the entire Summer, but we know this is not always possible, so we’ve given several options.

Absolutely! If you do a great job this Summer, you can definitely use this experience on your resume & reach out to info@stxym.org for a written letter of recommendation if needed.

All applicants must have been out of High School for one full year & be between 18-25 year old by June 1, 2025.

Exceptions are made on a case-by-case basis.
